Our Staff
Christina fits in so seamlessly with our team and our patients that we can't imagine how we ever worked without her. She is passionate about helping people feel equipped and confident when it comes to decisions regarding their vision. Having gone through vision therapy herself, she understands what it’s like to think life is “normal” while experiencing abnormal symptoms. Since completing therapy, she no longer sees motion sickness as a normal part of life—and she can even read in the car now!
Whether you need to shift an appointment, have billing questions, need additional copies of your results, or need to send a message to our clinical staff, Christina will make sure that it happens.
"I used to dread long car rides, never realizing that my discomfort was linked to my vision. I thought that being nauseous in the car was "normal" for me. Vision therapy changed that! After experiencing the life-changing benefits of vision therapy firsthand, I’m always eager to share its many advantages. I’m committed to providing clear information about what vision therapy is, how it can transform lives, and what life can look like without the visual symptoms we’ve come to accept as “normal.” My goal is to ensure every patient has the support and resources they need to succeed in their therapy journey."

Sara’s favorite thing about her role is watching her patients transform. "Sometimes my patients say little things such as, 'Yeah, I can see that,' whereas previously, they were unable to fuse the images," she shares. Celebrating these "little victories" fuels Sara's dedication. She is a master of celebrating each little step along the way and motivating her patients to give their best effort.
Mentored by Dr. Januskey and collaborating with seasoned vision therapists, Sara ensures she's equipped with the latest techniques. National seminars like the Southwestern Congress of Optometry serve as platforms for continuous learning, expanding her expertise and enhancing her ability to change patients’ lives.
"My own vision struggles growing up led me to this profession. I strive to be what a younger me needed but didn’t have access to. I obtained a background in neurodevelopment by working with a private Christian school in Bellville, Texas. They gave me my first taste of what it is like to work in what I consider to be my calling.
Flash forward a few years, and my own vision deficiencies and the Lord Jesus led me to find Dr. Lisa Januskey at Precision Eye Care who referred me to Apex Performance Vision for vision therapy. It has been a wonderful whirlwind ever since.”

Throughout her education and training, Nicole has gained a deep understanding of the powerful connection between vision, brain function, and overall well-being. As a vision therapist, she's dedicated to helping individuals develop the skills they need to see and experience life with greater confidence. She's excited to continue learning and growing in the field and is excited to make a positive impact in the lives of those she works with!
"I’m excited to be part of a field that allows me to combine my love for psychology with my passion for helping others improve their lives. I recently graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and I’m especially passionate about supporting individuals in improving their visual and cognitive abilities to enhance how they experience the world around them."
